Message from AFGE Local 1923 President, Cynthia Ennis:

I am pleased to announce that the union’s efforts to obtain better representation for the disabled employees’ class action case have succeeded.

The case, Jantz v. Astrue, is challenging the systematic discrimination against disabled employees in promotions.

The law firm that initially brought the case, Snider & Associates, has withdrawn, and a consortium of four extremely qualified firms from around the country has entered its appearance on behalf of the class.

The web pages of the four law firms which have joined together to provide the disabled employees the representation they deserve are as follows:

The union is looking forward to working closely with these firms in order to achieve justice for the disabled employees throughout the agency.
